Rosacea and redness
Lumecca Peak is InMode's intense pulsed light treatment for pigmentation, sun damage,
redness and vascular change. It targets unwanted pigment and visible vessels while lifting
the overall clarity and brightness of the skin.
Most people come to it because their skin looks uneven, dull, red or sun worn. Pigment
shows up as freckles, age spots, sun spots or patches of brown. Vascular concerns show as
flushing, a red background tone, broken capillaries or rosacea.

Lumecca reads the colour in the skin and treats it selectively.
Pulses of light pass into the skin. Pigment absorbs the energy, darkens, then lifts away or
fades. Vessels absorb it too, which softens redness and broken capillaries. Across a course
the complexion looks clearer and more even.
It is one of the more satisfying treatments we offer, because the change in tone and clarity
can show fairly quickly. It is a strong choice for sun damage on the face, neck, chest and
hands, where pigment can age the skin well beyond how it feels.
Lumecca can be a real help with stubborn redness, flushing and the vascular side of rosacea.
Rosacea usually needs a longer view, since it comes and goes. Treatment can settle the look
of redness, but skincare, trigger management and the occasional maintenance session often
still matter. For rosacea we usually suggest a structured programme rather than a one off,
pairing Lumecca with the right skincare and review appointments, so we improve the
redness while protecting the skin barrier.
Pigmentation and sun damage
Pigment is one of the most common reasons people ask about light treatment. Sun damage
builds quietly over years and surfaces as brown patches, freckles or uneven tone, most often
on the face, chest and hands. After Lumecca the treated spots may darken before they fade,
which is exactly what should happen. Some people describe it as fine coffee grounds sitting
on the surface before the skin sheds them. Proper sun protection afterwards is not optional,
and it protects your result.
After your treatment
The skin can look red and feel warm at first. Pigment may darken over the next few days
before it flakes or fades, and redness eases gradually. The number of sessions depends on the
concern, how marked it is and the area. A patch test is required beforehand. Not every skin
type or every kind of pigment suits IPL, which is why the consultation matters. If Lumecca is
not the safest or best route for you, we will say so and offer another plan.
