Complications & Corrective Aesthetic Care
Advanced Assessment.
Safe Management.
Clinical Expertise.
At Alchemy Medical, complication management is a core clinical service — not an afterthought.
Led by Paula, Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Independent Prescriber, and former NHS Consultant Nurse in Emergency & Acute Medicine, our clinic provides structured assessment and management of aesthetic complications with the same clinical rigour expected in hospital practice.
We understand that complications can be physically and emotionally distressing. Our role is to provide calm, evidence-led assessment and a clear, safe plan forward.

WHAT WE ASSESS & TREAT
• Suspected vascular compromise
• Delayed-onset inflammatory nodules
• Persistent oedema and malar swelling
• Filler migration or product misplacement
• Tyndall effect
• Asymmetry and unsatisfactory outcomes
• Overcorrection
• Planned or emergency hyaluronidase treatment
Where appropriate, we use ultrasound imaging to accurately assess filler placement, vascular anatomy, and tissue changes — allowing for precise, targeted treatment rather than blind dissolution.

OUR APPROCH
Every case begins with a detailed medical and aesthetic history, full clinical assessment, and when indicated, ultrasound imaging.
We consider:
• Product type and longevity
• Time since treatment
• Inflammatory and immune response patterns
• Tissue integrity and anatomical risk
Treatment is tailored, staged where appropriate, and always prioritises safety over speed.
Collaborative & Specialist Care
Paula is part of a wider national complications collaborative network, ensuring access to peer discussion and specialist support when required. Complex cases benefit from shared expertise.
